Once again David puts lyrics and beautiful melody to a situation and frustration I cannot put into words myself, providing some peaceful relief and balance back into the world. Thank you good sir.

about
For a songwriter with a reputation for writing political songs, you might think the Presidency of Donald J. Trump to have been something of a gift. A bottomless barrel of content.
I found it to be quite the opposite.
There was no nuance, no detail to be picked out and highlighted. This was a time of surface and I didn't feel there was much I could say on the subject that wasn't boringly obvious to some while being criminally seditious to others.
Now that this strange episode in the history of western democracy appears to have concluded, I find myself interested by the divisions that have been left. How can a nation reconcile its differences when its opposing factions don't recognise the same fundamental reality?
What's left is a confounding mess.
And that's something that makes me want to write songs.

"...an album that looks as much to this side of The Pond as the UK, She Makes War's debut album is a dark melange of 90s Riot Grrrl meets indie-pop meets disquieting ballads, all the time not missing a beat..."

Discovered She makes war from the Songwriter's suite podcast. Been listening for weeks daily on Spotify at work, so had to buy th cd.
Beautifully sung, catchy and melodic. At the moment, this is looking like my favourite album of 2016 Christopher Rollason
